-The story behind Cut & Carve-

A black and white photo of a family of three with their dog, sitting indoors. The woman has shoulder-length hair, and the man has a beard. The boy in front is wearing a plaid shirt. The dog is lying down in front of them, wearing a bandana.

-Cut & Carve started with a simple goal- “build solid tables the right way, and give people a place to slow down and gather with the ones they love”

After more than 15 years working in the woodworking industry, I reached a point where I wanted to build something of my own - something for my family, and something I could take real pride in.

What began as a small shop and a side pursuit has grown into a full-time focus on craftsmanship, quality, and doing things the way they’re meant to be done.

We’ve always been drawn to working with our hands and creating something real - something that lasts. Over time, that turned into a focus on custom dining tables - the center of the home, where people gather, share meals, and spend everyday moments together.

We value our family time and know how fast-paced life can be. We love being able to build pieces that help people slow down, gather, and spend real time together around the table.

Every piece we build is made by us, from solid hardwood, one at a time. No mass production, no MDF, no veneers - just careful attention to detail and a commitment to building something we’re proud to put our name on.

Each table is built to order and tailored to your space, style, wood choice, and finish, so you end up with something that truly fits your home.

We’re proud to be building for our Northern Michigan community and beyond, and grateful for the people who trust us to create something that becomes part of their home.

Sincerely,
